Peaches are not only sweet and juicy, but they can protect you against some diseases, like problems with the digestive system and the liver; they can be useful for you if you have cardiac problems, and retain water, or if you want to lose weight.

It is absolutely clear that this fruit is wholesome and tasty, but what do you have to know if you want to grow them?

These fruit trees like light and warmth, and in order to grow and develop well they need warmer climate and moist sandy and clay soil.

When making peach orchards, it is recommended to plant the different sorts in separate plots, which will make the harvesting easier, as the different sorts ripen at different times.

The crown of the peach tree is formed by trimming, which most often is formed as freely growing crown or cup.

Peach orchards require regular fertilization with nitrogen fertilizers; as the young fruit trees are fertilized around the stem, while on the third year the fertilizers are spread on the whole orchard land.

The diseases of the peach trees for which you have to be prepared are stigmina carpophila, curly leaves, Sphaerotheca pannosa var. Rosae, viral diseases.

Peaches are often attacked by peach moth, mites, eastern fruit worm, aphids, Parthenolecanium corni, etc. In order to fight with the pests and the diseases you have to treat the fruit trees with the appropriate chemicals.
